Evening sunset and Lilylulu giveaway.

Yes, that is a cropped blouse. I never thought I'd see the day either, but with time (and with obsessing over the Whitepepper's lookbooks) these things happen, and when Lilylulu said they'd like to send an item my way, I saw this pastel perfect blouse and just knew it had to end up in my wardrobe. Unfortunately you can tell that no amount of time spent in the gym is going to make a difference, and it is a little tight so it's going to end up in one of my friend's wardrobes, but it's such a beautiful piece that I'm jealous of whoever nabs it first - so please do size up to avoid disappointment. I find that it can be pretty tricky to style cropped items, so I decided to layer it over an old Topshop sale buy for an evening walk. I would have loved to accessorise with rose gold jewellery, however I'm lacking in that particular style so opted for fail-safe black, and really do like how it turned out.

fancy your chances?

Lilylulu were kind enough to offer not just me but you guys a little treat from their new collection. For your chance to win the Pia Long Floral Kimono (see how I'd style a long kimono here - they're super swishy and thus amazing) all you have to do is follow my blog via GFC (at the bottom of the page!) or bloglovinfollow Lilylulu on twitter, and leave a comment with some means of contacting you (either your email or twitter, for example) if you win - simple! I'll announce the winner in my post on Sunday 10th August.

This is definitely a "when in Munich" scenario. It took me six months, but I finally ended up going to Hofbrauhaus: the ultimate and most touristy of all of Bavaria's breweries. Just a stone's throw from the town centre, Hofbrauhaus is home to all things brezel and you can get a litre Maß for €8, which makes it marginally cheaper than Frühlingsfest and Oktoberfest (more on that soon!). Surprisingly when you consider its tourist target market, there seemed to be a lot of Münchners in there, and although I don't think I'd personally make it my local I can certainly see its charm and why people keep returning. Before heading to the beer capital of Europe I was definitely not a fan of the hops-based drink, but there is something about throwing yourself into a culture which makes you accustomed to tastes that you'd otherwise pass on, and can you really not drink beer when you're in Hofbrauhaus? That, and it often costs less than a soft drink, damn you UK duty rates! Now, how to go about ordering a helles in wetherspoons...

Speaking of being back, isn't the weather amazing? Of course, it's set to tip it down this evening and for the rest of the week, but I've been making the most of the sun by snapping some truly British outfit photos which I can't wait to share with you all. But with two more Munich posts to come you'll just have to wait that little bit longer! Other than spending time out in my garden editing away, I've been getting myself back into a routine of eating cheddar and having good ol' catch ups. However much I miss Munich, it is good to be back.

This is hardly a groundbreaking outfit, but for some reason it's a combination that I'm really quite a big fan of. Worn when Carmen and I spent the day checking out the AMD graduates' final collections and then wandered through the Munich equivalent of Mayfair. As we walked along, it was clear to see that we were the interns to the rest of the crowd's Chanel and Louis Vuitton bags. Maybe we'll get there one day!

Even though it may not be Mother's Day in Germany, I did make sure I left a little something behind when I visited last week. Here's to all the amazing women out there who serve as a daily inspiration. And, you know, my mum in particular.

There's nothing better than a lazy afternoon spent with friends in a coffee shop. One afternoon saw Rosa (who's blog is about a billion times cooler than I could ever be) and I doing just that - with a little bit of Zara on the side! As we were passing, we took outfit photos in Max-Joseph-Platz, by the National Theatre. As the vast majority of my photos are taken in a rushed lunch hour, it's rare that I'm able to find a location this beautiful within walking distance, but it does make taking photos so much more fun.

By the time you read this I should be back on British shores - I hope Nando's is ready for me. With plans varying from a night out on Baker Street to a good ol' pub quiz to brunch with the best people (i.e. Sabby and Jazmine), I really don't think I could ask for a better elongated weekend. Unless I had a weekend with optimum temperature yorkshire tea and cheese on toast. I reckon that'd be pretty good too.

I'm back! Even if only for just over a week. England is comparatively tropical, so it's nice to head outside in "just" a coat and not have to work a beanie, scarf and gloves into my outfit. My first day back in the country involved waking up early to sort a few of my own things out, before heading into town with my mum to pick up a few parcels from the Post Office (I felt so spoiled!), and finally pick up my Boots order. Errands run, I caught a train to Canary Wharf to hang out with some of my pals for a joint "everyone's in the came country!" celebration and cooked christmas dinner with all the trimmings which went down a treat. Several bottles of mulled wine, winter pimm's and, um, vodka later, we found ourselves running for the DLR (would not recommend) and continuing our celebrations well into the night - it's safe to say that the next evening was spent in our pyjamas watching Love Actually and The Holiday!

It wasn't until I started editing these photos and looking at them on my screen that I realised there was a slight (and completely unintentional) nod to the German flag from my mainly black outfit, with hints of red from my bag and lipstick, and amber from my hair. I've heard of an outfit being location appropriate, but this is taking it to a whole new level.

I've been here just shy of a month and a half, but I've settled in so well that flying back to England for Christmas today seems a little too ahead of schedule for my liking. Unfortunately I'll be missing my girl Kavita's last day tomorrow due to plane fares, but I'm looking forward to being home for Christmas dinners aplenty (at last count I've arranged three), catch ups over Costa coffee, and crisp London afternoons.

It's dead handy working with bloggers. Nothing quite like asking "photos tomorrow?" as you head out at the end of the day, and know that it's not going to be frowned upon! Luckily I work with Carmen (who took these photos) and Kavita (stood waiting for us to go and get some olive bread, and boy is it worth waiting for), so we're the crazy ones standing outside without coats on while it snows, or, as is the case with this particular set of photos, stand in the cycle lane and have to hop out of the way every couple of minutes. Even if there was a slight risk of bruising, I'm happy with these photos as we somehow managed to procure a little bit of golden hour during our lunch break - it always seems better when I'm abroad!
