Have you noticed something a little different about my blog? After a while (okay, a couple of years) of umm-ing and ahh-ing, I've finally purchased a domain for It's Cohen! Party poppers at the ready, right? Having that little .co.uk at the end of my name feels a little bit fancier than the ever-faithful blogspot, but it makes me feel slightly more professional, and it's going to be much quicker to scribble down at meet-ups! If you could update any links you may have, I would definitely appreciate it, although I'm hoping this won't prove too problematic if you follow me on bloglovin'. Fingers, toes, and hair (if I plait it) crossed that everything works out okay.

Now for something completely different. Although the Stylight offices are pretty cosy, it can't hurt to layer up a little, particularly when you've left your scarf at home. On this occasion, I added my now staple high-neck dress underneath my new scarlet LOVE number for a toasty ensemble. Maybe I'm getting into red after seeing every other person wearing a Bayern Munich scarf on the U-Bahn of a weekend, or maybe I'm getting fed up of burgundy. Maybe. We'll test that one out next week.

If there's ever going to be a time for sequins, it's definitely during the festive period. For my twenty-first, I whipped out this snazzy little number, but for the Stylight christmas do I've decided to step it up a notch with this playsuit's cut-out detail on the back. Although it goes beautifully with this tuxedo jacket that I chose after my friend's horrified reaction when I admitted to not owning a black blazer, I think more than a little jacket will be necessary to battle the german elements at this time of year. Heading out for just twenty minutes to take these and Carmen's photos resulted in some very frozen hands which could only be fixed with a whole tub of potato soup, my most extreme soup stunt to date. If you fancy winning yourself a little sparkly something, boohoo are running a competition on instagram with the prize of a £500 wardrobe just for hashtagging your christmas style with #dressmas. If I win, it's safe to say that I'll be heading straight to the coat section...

PS, I'm currently looking into buying a domain for my blog (about bloody time!), so if you have any host recommendations please send them my way!

I am forever moaning about my lack of goth phase. I tried to convince myself that I was a scene kid in year ten, but realistically I went as far as neon eyeshadow and that was it (fortunately). Recently however I find myself being drawn to black clothing, and it doesn't look like this chapter is ending any time soon, particularly when Hallowe'en is only a couple of weeks away. That, or I'm spending too much time reading Camilla's blog, you pick. Last August I went along to boohoo's christmas preview and I've somehow only just got around to spending the voucher that I was kindly treated to on the day. I'm not the world's biggest fan of online shopping as I rarely know what I want specifically and find the pages of stock overwhelming (give me a rail to sift through any day!), so I narrowed things down to a much more manageable "black velvet" selection and came up trumps with this bad boy. Add a leather jacket, my new day bag (which my camera fits in, can I get a hell yeah?), and a slick of red lipstick on an abnormally good make-up day and I was ready to face the world, even if it were a only a trip to town with Danielle for wetherspoons burgers and window shopping - it's the small things.

Don't forget who you are.

However much I'm trying to pretend it's not, it's finally reaching the end of my time in Liverpool. On Monday, I'll be attending the English Society's Summer Ball - so of course that means time to get a nice frock on! This is a bit of a sneak peek for any of my course friends who may be reading, but I've settled on one of Booho's boutique dresses to celebrate in style. I love the pastel two-tone nature of it, so am praying that I don't come home covered in sambuca, as is the normal post-night look. I've paired it with these (oxblood, I know) heels that I bought with a voucher in the sales that are impossible to walk in. But they're pretty, so it doesn't matter. I can't wait to sit in the Bluecoat with a cocktail, listening to nineties hip-hop with a group of the most amazing people I've met over my three years in this city.

Posh-ness aside, ahem, we swapped our Friday post-seminar cake trip for one to the newly-opened Free State Kitchen. Burgers seem to be a London obsession, and I can't go a week without seeing a blog post about the newest joint in town. Trust me, I do love a good Byron (and they're opening one here soon!), but FSK certainly rival their Southern counterparts. And they have rosemary salt. I went for the cheeseburger, but Sita definitely enjoyed her hotdog, and Clarity was pleased with her veggie option. We're all determined to try as much as there is to offer in our last weeks here. If anyone's got any Liverpool-based recommendations, I'd love to hear them.

I'd also like to thank my wonderful flatmate Amy for taking these photos (and bearing with my "can you get a close-up of my bag?" x 100000), and I'm going to bully her into putting the photos I took of her onto her new blog asap!
