New Phone Alert πŸ”‘πŸ”‘

Want to Win an iPhone SE?

Well, hun, you're in the right place.

I've been with Three for a while now, and although I am gutted they introduced their home away from home package in Germany about a month after I moved back to the UK (getting a sim card and the direct debit in a foreign language is a barrel of laughs, I tell ya), they've honestly been absolute babes since I switched to them when I was at uni.

Becca from Three asked me whether I'd like to give away an iPhone SE in rose gold to one of my readers, and it was definitely one of those "you sure you sent the right person that email?" scenarios. But, lo and behold, here we are, and if you fancy winning one of these, it's super simple.

A day at the races - win Newbury Racing tickets and a John Lewis voucher!

newbury racing tickets competition
newbury races premier tickets

Here's your ready-made excuse to dress up. I'm heading off to Newbury Racecourse with my BFF at the end of the month and the lovely lot there have offered you the chance to come along too. They'll even throw in a £30 John Lewis voucher (do. not. think. of. #ManOnTheMoon) to help add a little somethin' somethin' to your outfit. I've only ever been to the races once before, but really relished the opportunity to don a posh frock and dust my heels off. If you're anything like me, the days of getting dolled up for a night out are well and truly over, instead plucking for something a little more casual in order to ensure a evening dancing into the next day. Fancy the opportunity to treat yourself to some new shoes? Have a look at the widget below and try your luck.

One of those 'but I never win competitions' sorts? No fear. Use the cheeky code FUN15 for £5 off Premier or Grandstand admission on the Hennessey Gold Cup Day (28th November - same day I'm going!) when you purchase through this link or call up on 01635 40015. This means your save £ on tickets and gives you a little something extra to use at the bar instead. Excellent.

And I hope you're holding hands by new year's eve + a little treat for you!

Anthropologie Lillie playsuit: £98. Anthropologie faux fur bag: £58. Zara coat: £30. Christian Louboutin pigalle: £75, charity shop.

To go out or not to go out, that is the question. When Anthropologie asked me which of the two I'd be siding with this New Year's Eve, it took me all of three seconds to decide. As someone who is always in serious fear of FOMO, I tend to plug for the former, and have spent many a weekend (this one included) raising a glass to friends and shaking a tailfeather. I'm yet to make this year's celebrations concrete, but there's no doubt that a small group of us will make our way into the night, sure to see in 2015 with a smile and plenty of so-good-they're-bad dance moves - irresistible, I know! As a dance floor veteran, I'd like to think I've got my night out wardrobe down to a tee, leaving the stress purely down to how much my eyebrows want to cooperate. LBDs go without saying, the flattering colour hides many a sin and spilt vodka coke, but of late I've found myself leaning towards playsuits in the shade, which are the perfect mid-ground of pretty and dignity-saving. This little lace-trim number is plain enough to dress up with bright jewels, or let your faux fur bag do the talkin' (and you do the strokin', no weird here) instead.

Knowing that we had a new years theme, Sabby and I headed along to the place we knew placed a pretty big importance on time: Greenwich. Just a hop, skip and jump away from the meridian line, we looked over London ("you can see my house!") and made our first resolution to explore more areas of it in 2015.

Want to give that NYE outfit a pretty helping hand?

Anthropologie have very kindly offered me a £50 voucher to give away to one of my readers. All you have to do is vote for whether you're going out or staying in as the clocks strike the hour on the Anthropologie blog and leave a comment below with your email address letting me know which of the two you favour - good luck!

Looking for what to spend those pennies on? I've created a little mood board of my favourite things online right now - velvet! Embellishment! Lace! - for you to have look over and ponder what you'd add to your wishlist..

Evening sunset and Lilylulu giveaway.

Yes, that is a cropped blouse. I never thought I'd see the day either, but with time (and with obsessing over the Whitepepper's lookbooks) these things happen, and when Lilylulu said they'd like to send an item my way, I saw this pastel perfect blouse and just knew it had to end up in my wardrobe. Unfortunately you can tell that no amount of time spent in the gym is going to make a difference, and it is a little tight so it's going to end up in one of my friend's wardrobes, but it's such a beautiful piece that I'm jealous of whoever nabs it first - so please do size up to avoid disappointment. I find that it can be pretty tricky to style cropped items, so I decided to layer it over an old Topshop sale buy for an evening walk. I would have loved to accessorise with rose gold jewellery, however I'm lacking in that particular style so opted for fail-safe black, and really do like how it turned out.

fancy your chances?

Lilylulu were kind enough to offer not just me but you guys a little treat from their new collection. For your chance to win the Pia Long Floral Kimono (see how I'd style a long kimono here - they're super swishy and thus amazing) all you have to do is follow my blog via GFC (at the bottom of the page!) or bloglovinfollow Lilylulu on twitter, and leave a comment with some means of contacting you (either your email or twitter, for example) if you win - simple! I'll announce the winner in my post on Sunday 10th August.

It's officially picnic weather! This weekend we spent the afternoon in the English Gardens with a lot of food and an equal amount of laughs. Apparently most of Munich decided this was the perfect time to head to the park too, but we managed to bag a sunny spot so the crowds were soon forgotten. Rosa brought her camera too so expect so expect to see photos on her blog soon, and looking through my own only made me realise how much more comfortable I am behind the camera than in front of it, but I managed to nab a few outfit snaps off Marine before the sun set.

I was very lucky to be sent a pair of sunnies to style up by the lucky ladies at Sunglasses Shop, and it makes a nice change from my usual rotation of 50p charity shop and Primark frames. They were kind enough to let me share the love with you guys too, and are offering a reader the chance to win a pair of Michael Kors sunglasses too - maybe you could get a pair of Michael Kors Paige sunglasses and we could match! Just enter below for your chance to win (please note you must do all three of the first options to be considered) - and fingers crossed!

Giveaway(!!)

it's cohen - uk style blog: giveaway, cath kidston, designer sunglasses, elsie belle, topshop

This has been in the pipeworks for a while, it has to be said. A mixture of the unreliable postal service and being terribly busy this academic year has meant that lots of emails flicking back and forth have only just made it here.

A couple of months back I reached the one thousand follower mark. I'm not a big fan of the word (in my own english student way, I always think it ought to be renamed "readers"), but it honestly does mean a lot to me that anyone commits to having my little blog appear on their feeds. So, in true "I've just got my birthday money, let's do this" fashion, I've prepared not one but two thank you's for you jolly wonderful people.

prize one: spring/summer

Well, it wouldn't be a proper giveaway if it weren't themed, eh? Whenever I think of Summer, I think (read: dream) of travelling to exotic locations. I headed off to Cath Kidston to pick up a luggage tag and make-up bag, and Sunglasses Shop have kindly agreed to let the winner pick a pair of SXUC sunglasses - you've got to look after your peepers, after all.

prize two: autumn/winter

Who doesn't like to snuggle up under their duvet with a good pair of socks? I'm a sucker for Topshop's offerings, so got two frilly pairs in my favourite colours. My favourite online jewellery brand Elsie Belle (I'm sure you've seen me wearing my masquerade necklace, as I wear it all the time) have donated a teapot necklace and leaf bracelet, two things I associate with this time of the year.

and the winner is...:
(i'm just about to leave a comment on your blog/twitter - well done!)

thanks to all my wonderful followers, some of the answers were actually amazing. and, as some of you said, i'm drinking a cup of tea right now. although i don't tend to reserve that just for winter...
as i have no lectures for the rest of the year (yay!) tonight will be an evening of taking advantage of the university's fast internet connection and catching up on blogs.

i'm loving every idiosyncrasy - GIVEAWAY

rebecca cohen giveawayrebecca cohen giveaway
alexa wants to celebrate too!

seeing as i've reached five hundred followers, its nearly christmas and it's my birthday next week (nineteen, scary) now seems like the perfect time to say thank you to all my wonderful followers. and, as it's the festive season, what everyone needs is that uglycute jumper to wear when sipping on glΓΌhwein and making mince pies.

this jumper is from a little shop in liverpool called pop boutique which sells mens and womens vintage clothing as well as homewares, cards and some of their own designs. this jumper is made by pop and it has reindeers on it. reindeers! it's super comfy, so when i've got my birthday money i may have to go back and get a similar one for myself. this is a medium and fits me fine (i vary between a 10 and 12 uk dress size, never thought i'd be saying that online...), i'd say it'd comfortably fit sizes 4-14.

if you'd like to enter just comment below saying what your favourite thing about winter is.
as it's a thank-you to my followers, it's only fair that entrants must be a follower of my blog via google friend connect/blogger. for extra entries you can tweet about this giveaway @rebeccacohen and follow me via bloglovin', just let me know in your comment.

the giveaway is open to international readers and closes on wednesday fifteenth december.

good luck (: xo
