Asos french bulldog jumper (I KNOW): £22. Debenhams jeans. Cath Kidston ric rac mug. Look of pure sugar-enthused delight: c/o Bettys Tea Rooms.

Me and Bettys, we go waaay back. I have no photographic evidence - shock! horror! - but I visited back in 2011 when visiting my friend Sam in York for the first time. Having zero money as students with poor life choices (we went to Willow in York - need I say more?), we shared an afternoon tea for one downstairs in the St Helen's Square team room (on the map, above) and decided that was quite enough cute for the weekend. Fast forward four years and my days have been sorrowfully Bettys-free, until an email arrived in my inbox which I replied to quick enough to give me indigestion: Bettys was popping up in Islington for one day only.

As someone who actively avoids heading into town/into full-blown pollution clouds on the weekend, it was a welcome change to my usual trips on the train as I could amble along to meet Charlotte to take these photos before heading over to the venue. Popping to Bettys was like stepping into your best friend's; plenty of smiles and plenty of sweet treats. We started off the day by learning how to ice our own french fancies before prepping for the ultimate afternoon tea/flat lay situation. It was definitely more hands on than my previous Bettys experience, but who'd mind mucking in when there are mousse mice to be eaten? The sugar crush was warded off when I got home by getting changed into my new favourite jumper (two words: French. Bulldog.) and having a little read through the 'Who's Betty?' selection of short stories.

Because, if anything's my cup of tea, it's a good slice of cake (heh).

High dive into frozen waves.

Photos by Hannah.

After missing London Fashion Week in favour of staying inside, the next weekend's blue skies and a little invite from New Look coaxed me out vampire-style for London Fashion Weekend. If you haven't heard of LFW's little sis, I'm going to assume you're new around here. In short, it's your chance to see the oncoming season's trends in one handy catwalk show, with a little bit of Sia playing to keep you going after navigating the Circle line's part-closures. After meeting a load of lovely bloggers outside, we went in to sample the high life shows and talks, before popping along to the Delaunay for afternoon tea and an education in gugelhopf.

After a few weeks of existential crisis and whatnot, it was truly inspiring (vom, I know) to spend the day in the company of such hardworking and focused girls. Sometimes all you need to put things in perspective is three tiers of cakes and a few hours of getting-to-know-you.

In bed with Rebecca and Jazmine.

I'm wearing a Ted Baker pyjama set, and Jazmine wears dressing gown, both courtesy of Debenhams.

And now for something completely different. Although I may be (in everything but title) the brand ambassador of my local club, sometimes it's nice to spend the evening with a pizza the size of a small country, face masks and countless cups of tea. Last weekend Jazmine and I did just that, catching up on our antics from the previous weekend in a slightly more wholesome manner.

To help fuel our late night chats, Debenhams asked if we'd like to get involved in a #DebsSleepover - an offer we couldn't resist! Cue a massive box of goodies turning up at my office containing everything we could possibly wish for to make the perfect sleepover (admittedly the sweets might not have made it out of the building...). It's not often that I let myself completely relax, but it was nice to talk babes, boys and biscuits with one of my best friends and ignore most of what was happening outside her bedroom, except for the fifty texts I received around 4am - group chats have their flaws. The next morning, we coerced Barri into taking some photos for us while we tried not to laugh at her terrible jokes (not sorry) between sips of tea.

I hope you like this slight departure from normal outfit posts, but I think it's just the right time to take a moment to relax on a Sunday and not think about the C word with just four sleeps to go - let me know your best sleepover stories, as I'd love to hear them!

ps, don't forget to enter to win a £50 Anthropologie voucher - closes Christmas Eve!

When I heard that there was a beach in Covent Garden, I couldn't help but be intrigued and pop along after work to find out just how they'd managed to transport a little bit of Brazil to the British Isles. Ipanema are a Brazilian footwear brand who wanted to help make London a little bit less grey by setting up a beach shack BBQ and beach right next to the covered markets at Covent Garden. After a hot (and not in the good way) tube journey, I met up with Megan to take some outfit photos before heading to meet the other girls. Trying to find somewhere that isn't entirely overrun with people is pretty tricky when you're at tourist hotspot Covent Garden, but we managed to find a little break in the constant foot traffic right next to the pretty pastel Primrose Bakery, and I'm more than happy with how these photos have turned out, which isn't a very common occurrence! We then headed over to meet Amy, before Kim (the lovely lady behind the blogger network at etail pr) introduced herself, and we sampled the caipirinhas. It was so lovely to meet some new ladies, and spent most of my time chatting to Paulina and Emily before I had to head home. I've felt a little out of the blogging loop since I've moved back from Germany as I'm constantly doing real life stuff (I know, it exists!), so it was lovely to put a pretty frock on for an evening of cocktails and chat. Just one big thank you to etail, ipanema and Cabana for inviting me along, and further confirming that caipirinhas are fast becoming my favourite cocktail.
