I fell straight into your arms.

Laura Ashley trench coat. Topshop utility dress: £40. Oasis loafers: £4, sample sale. Vintage leather bag: 50p, charity shop.

Happy Easter, chicks! Although I hope you're all reading this on Monday as you're far too busy on various easter egg hunts, of course. Chez coco, the lamb's out, the wine's in the fridge (not for much longer...) and there's about triple the amount of chocolate to be found, despite there still being some leftover from Christmas - just us?

I couldn't resist saving this pastel-perfect throwback to Thaxted for the "celebrate bunnies, lambs, daffodils and the death/resurrection of Jesus" day, because if there's ever to be a day fit for warm tones and blue skies this is it. We went for a wander around the pretty mid-Essex village (it's near Stansted airport, if you need a little context) as a stop off on the way to Saffron Walden, and it's quickly rocketed right to the top of my favourite villages list, which has substantially increased in the last couple of months. All those included feature good tea-rooms and friendly pubs, minus points for scowly locals. For this Spring day it was warm enough to layer up with only my favourite Laura Ashley trench coat (it's an oldie, I'm afraid, but this Asos one's pretty similar). I don't own many in-between coats, but am on the hunt for a black/navy mac after seeing Helen in a darker version. I'm pretty tempted by this Oasis number, but I'll be sure to keep you all updated on this riveting affair.

In other news, I have discovered Biscoff. My life and waistline will never be the same again.

There's no place I'd rather be.

Gingham co-ord: c/o Laura Ashley (top and skirt). Zara navy coat: £30. Vintage Salvatore Ferragamo shoes: £2.99, charity shop. Vintage bag: gift from Jazmine. Faux fur tippet: £1, charity shop.

"You can wear jeans and a t-shirt to work? You are so lucky!"

Picture the scene: Laura and I are sardined together on a DLR train headed to Bank and I'm the only person wearing denim in a sea of suits (other than someone who looks like they weren't quite expecting the tropical temperatures mid-February in a shearling jacket - pray for them). The office I work in doesn't have a uniform as such, and instead I find myself dressing in everything from casual outfits perfect for a post-Domino's day or pretty floral midis and bardot tees which would fit in with afternoon tea. When Laura Ashley got in touch asking if I'd style up their pastel co-ord I couldn't help but immediately think of how it'd be perfect for a City office, just the ticket for countering the inevitable greys and navies swarming to Pret for lunch. Realistically, I'm much more likely to pair the top with skinnies or the skirt with an oversized jumper for my own 9-5, but there's nothing like pretending every once in a while...

Want to hear how LA'd wear this co-ord? Pop over to their blog!

Just busy earnin', you can't get enough.

When you have to say "could today possibly get more British?", you know you're having a pretty good day. Last weekend, my mum and I headed to the local village fayre in the blazing sunshine for some good old fashioned fun (quite literally, in the case of some of the books they had for sale there - talk about antiques!). If you're not acquainted with this truly british pastime, just think of condensing all our stereotypes into one day, and projecting them onto a village green. We're talking tea and cake served in mismatched antique crockery, middle aged men manning the barbecue, the scouts hosting a tombola, homegrown tomato plants being sold for 50p and pin the tail on the donkey - sounds dreamy, right? Add in the glorious sunshine, a happy couple getting married in the church next door (check out those wheels!) and heading to the pub for a cider on the way home, and you've got yourself the most perfect Saturday, in my eyes.

This asos smock dress has been in my life for a fair while now, and despite wearing it at least once a week for the past two months it somehow hasn't made it in front of the camera. I like its smock shape (duh), but how it can also be unpopped to make it into a matching crop top and skirt set. I know that Kristabel's enamoured of her crawlies print version, but I'm rather partial to this little dotty number. I decided to debut my new dainty Pandora bracelet too, which makes a welcome change from the chunky leather watch that usually adorns my wrist. I always feel a little lost without an arm party, namely due to having no idea what the time is, but I'd happily replace my timepiece for something a little classier when the moment/tan lines need it.

Don't tell me listen to your song because it isn't the same.

Urban Outfitters smock dress: £58. Laura Ashley trench coat. Dolcis pink loafers: c/o Brantano. Topshop lace trim socks: £3.50. Luella clutch bag: £67, via ebay. Rotary watch: gift. Brandy Melville "thug life" necklace: €6. Michael Kors sunglasses.

As I put this outfit on, it kind of felt like I was dressing as myself a few years ago. Considering I used to wear it all the time, it's surprising that this Urban Outfitters dress has only once made it into a blog post. When I received these dusky pink loafers in the post I immediately thought of this dress, and had a quick browse through Charlie's archives for a little bit of rainy day outfit inspiration - certainly beats the lazy jeans and stripy tee combination I was initially planning on, doesn't it?* My style has developed into something of a uniform recently, reflecting the early starts and late nights perhaps a little too much, perhaps. Appreciate the cheeky #tbt (...w) to my Chung lovin' days, and don't expect to see so much pink again for a long, long time.

Seeing as I haven't talked about ~life for a bit on here, I guess we're due a catch-up. I'm currently interning at Oasis (think social media, copywriting, creating online content, etc.), so please do tweet me your blog posts if you've worn their stuff and I'll get pinning! Other than that, it's been a bit quiet as I haven't planned any last minute trips to the other end of the country. Instead I've been meeting up with blogging babes Jazmine and Megan, as well as getting myself a little bit too acquainted with Winchester cocktails on a Saturday night. However, I did book hotels for my friend's hen party and wedding on Monday night, so I'm looking forward to exploring a few more northern cities at the end of the Summer. Until then, I'm staying in the South East, and I'm going to just have to deal with staying in one place for more than a few weeks at a time (send help).

*A result of me having lost my jeans. I'm going to have to admit my floordrobe's got a little out of hand...

I'm sure you're not keeping up as it's so easy to get distracted by pictures rather than focus on chronology, but we're not in Munich for one post only. I couldn't resist sharing these photos taken on Friday as my mum and I went for a wander round our favourite Essex villages, with mandatory scone stop-off. I know that a lot of blogs focus on emulating street style by shooting literally in the middle of a road, but I'm definitely not cool enough and much prefer a pretty country garden for a backdrop than an industrial estate - just watch out for the ducks.

First stop was the Lordship tearooms opposite the agricultural college in Writtle. If you're a jam connoisseur (yep), you may recognise the little jam jars as this place is run by the people behind Tiptree jam. They've got a few tearooms around Essex, but I've only made it to this and the Tiptree one so far, with Heybridge next on our to-try list; I would definitely recommend them if you're in the area either for a cream tea (about £6 for two scones, jam and clotted cream, and a hot drink) or a proper meal. Afterwards we went for a wander round the village in the afternoon sunshine, which is a pretty-front-door instagrammer's dream.

Making a slight diversion on the way back, we stopped off at Hylands, which is my favourite park by far. The grounds are massive (V festival is based here), but the landscaped gardens are beautiful, the stately house is the perfect location for weddings, and they sell really good ice cream.

You may have seen Liv's and Carrie's posts from when they were whirled off across the channel - and that could be you! You could win the chance to have your own brilliantly British weekend in London or a fabulously French time in Paris with IHG Rewards club. All you have to do is upload a quintessentially british or french photo to instagram and use the hashtag #IHGselfie - simples, but look here for more details. These guys are wishing you good luck!
