It's officially picnic weather! This weekend we spent the afternoon in the English Gardens with a lot of food and an equal amount of laughs. Apparently most of Munich decided this was the perfect time to head to the park too, but we managed to bag a sunny spot so the crowds were soon forgotten. Rosa brought her camera too so expect so expect to see photos on her blog soon, and looking through my own only made me realise how much more comfortable I am behind the camera than in front of it, but I managed to nab a few outfit snaps off Marine before the sun set.

I was very lucky to be sent a pair of sunnies to style up by the lucky ladies at Sunglasses Shop, and it makes a nice change from my usual rotation of 50p charity shop and Primark frames. They were kind enough to let me share the love with you guys too, and are offering a reader the chance to win a pair of Michael Kors sunglasses too - maybe you could get a pair of Michael Kors Paige sunglasses and we could match! Just enter below for your chance to win (please note you must do all three of the first options to be considered) - and fingers crossed!

This is hardly a groundbreaking outfit, but for some reason it's a combination that I'm really quite a big fan of. Worn when Carmen and I spent the day checking out the AMD graduates' final collections and then wandered through the Munich equivalent of Mayfair. As we walked along, it was clear to see that we were the interns to the rest of the crowd's Chanel and Louis Vuitton bags. Maybe we'll get there one day!

Even though it may not be Mother's Day in Germany, I did make sure I left a little something behind when I visited last week. Here's to all the amazing women out there who serve as a daily inspiration. And, you know, my mum in particular.

There's nothing better than a lazy afternoon spent with friends in a coffee shop. One afternoon saw Rosa (who's blog is about a billion times cooler than I could ever be) and I doing just that - with a little bit of Zara on the side! As we were passing, we took outfit photos in Max-Joseph-Platz, by the National Theatre. As the vast majority of my photos are taken in a rushed lunch hour, it's rare that I'm able to find a location this beautiful within walking distance, but it does make taking photos so much more fun.

By the time you read this I should be back on British shores - I hope Nando's is ready for me. With plans varying from a night out on Baker Street to a good ol' pub quiz to brunch with the best people (i.e. Sabby and Jazmine), I really don't think I could ask for a better elongated weekend. Unless I had a weekend with optimum temperature yorkshire tea and cheese on toast. I reckon that'd be pretty good too.

Yes, you're seeing that correctly, the sunglasses are officially out. With temperatures forecast to soar to 21°C tomorrow, I think I've picked the right time to head home for a London weekend, aka wardrobe swap. I'll be sure to keep my new Little Nell Jewellery easily accessible in Munich, however, as I seem to be returning to a silver jewellery phase. When Penny asked if I'd like to try something from her shop, I gladly accepted having seen her items on plenty of my favourite bloggers, and, as stags have turned into my group's motif, I decided to select this necklace: anything with antlers goes down well in my books.

Anyway, time to dig out my oyster card and reacquaint myself with the DLR (hooray for friends who live next to the magical robot skytrain!). Now, to decide whether I need to pack tights or not...

It seems like forever ago that I was Berlin, but it was only just two months back - how did that happen?! The main reason for going was the Stylight fashion blogger awards. I know that there are a few UK blog awards, but I have honestly never seen anything on this scale which still manages to be fun. Whilst rubbing shoulders with some of the most influential people on the internet (erm, hi Chiara Ferragni, Fanny Lyckmann, and Negin Mirsalehi, to name a few), we were treated to everything from essie manicures to a runway show, and had such a fun night that it really did remind me that the blogging community is so much bigger than typing up posts in my pyjamas. Blogging is pretty different on the continent, with one in four Swedes writing their own blog, Kenza appearing on her country's equivalent of Strictly Come Dancing, and the wide variety of blogger agencies promoting some amazing talents, this was the perfect way to celebrate such a now-not-so-niche career which isn't often held in high esteem. I'm not sure LFW will be hosting its own fashion blogger awards any time soon, but it was the perfect excuse to head to the German capital!

Not only did I have the best time at the Stylight fashion blogger awards, but I was also kitted out specially for the event by Missguided. On hearing that I was headed to the coolest capital in the world (soz London, you're fun, but... Berlin), they asked if could give an insight as to what it's like to head to one of the smaller Fashion Weeks. Of course, I took this ready made excuse to take food photos, and I would absolutely love it if you would read the feature here.

Sometimes photos just don't turn out quite how you imagine them. I very nearly didn't use these ones, but it seemed a shame to assign this attempt completely to the bin, and I needed to justify my hoarding to my hard drive. So here's to frizzy hair, wonky lipstick, rainy days, and a much better post coming your way on Sunday.

Considering this is actually the entrance to work's car park, I think I've done a pretty good job of finding the vague dark green location I was looking for in order to photograph this amazing dress from Fashion Union. I've been a bit unfaithful to my usual colour palette of blues with burgundy this season, but I think it'll be coming back with a vengeance as the days get warmer and I have access to my entire wardrobe - miss u babe xoxo. This dress speaks for itself (anyone else think it's got some William Morris vibes? I definitely thought of WM fangirl Jazmine straight away!), so I didn't want to introduce any other colours and instead stuck with my trusty Missguided boots, favourite necklace and a nude lip. If you want to get this dress as well (which they also sell in pink) I'd recommend sizing up if you're in between sizes; I know I haven't been to the gym for a while, but it's not completely down to all that german beer!

Following on my last post's chat about being more personal, this week's been a bit of a mixed bag. Work launched its new tv commercial in P1 which meant lots of bloggers were around and there was a an amazing mid-week party, as well as finally trying out Burger House (which I cannot recommend enough oh my god), but it also meant saying goodbye to one of the closest friends I've made here. Cue, of course, checking how many days I've got left in Munich and several stressed whatsapps and skypes about how I'll be unemployed forever etc. In order to put my life in perspective, today's goals are to send out a few applications while letting my weekly hair mask does its thing, then head out to Olympiapark as I've heard talk of pedalos...

And, due to popular request (i.e. Jazmine and Amy asked for it), here is my lol face - enjoy!

You may think pancakes are enough fun for one day, but in Bavaria they take Shrove Tuesday to a whole new level. Carnival is a concept they practice a load more on the continent, and it's more of a universal celebration than Notting Hill, which becomes more of an excuse to drink at midday. It started last Thursday with the whole of the champagneria's clientele wearing red noses and face paint while we looked on bemused over our wine glasses, but is mainly, from what I can tell, concentrated on Shrove Tuesday and Ash Wednesday. My department were challenged to dress up yesterday, but with thoughts of what toppings to add to my pancakes later that day I clean forgot. My other better prepared and less distracted colleagues came in a wide array of costumes, and I took the opportunity to steal Charlee's cat ears. I know Michelle's a firm fan of them, but I'd personally never been sold on these cat ear headbands until slipping this pair on, and now I'm trying to work out quite how acceptable it would be to wear this accessory on the train to work (going by some of my fellow commuters' looks as I run to catch the train in my heeled boots, I'm going to guess that wouldn't go down too well in Munich...).

Life in Munich has been a lot of fun recently, and although I tend to write a lot about what I've been up to that day, I came to the realisation (when drunk, obviously) that I hardly ever talk about anything that personal on here. This isn't a promise to go through the various changings of my mind in a cathartic dissertation every time I take photos of some shoes, but I know that I enjoy reading about others' lives, and that's certainly what got me into blogging in the first place. So whether it's me having a chat about how I deal with winter skin (and I appear to have very nearly hidden the eczema on my neck in most of these photos - hooray!) or how I found moving to another country, I will try to share something of a little more depth than how much I like to wear cat ears. But I really do like to wear cat ears.
