kodak moments
i would've lost my digitial camera, so i took two disposable ones:
palmistry on brighton pier
jack wills (with added expensive jumper)
the apartment we stayed in
digital
okay, a2 results tomorrow. kind of numb about how these four letters can contain such gravity. i think i'm going to read trashy magazines (look, vogue, elle collections), watch films (500 days of summer, my fair lady, roman holiday) and generally be a loser (disaronno, vodka, cranberry juice) till i can't stay awake any more.
like a dog lying in a corner
they will bite you and never warn you.
look out
they'll tear your insides out
they will bite you and never warn you.

they'll tear your insides out

well, i'm back. it's taken me a couple of days to go through all the comments (you're all babes, don't think i'm complaining!) and bloglovin', and yet to wade through blogger, but i will catch up.
here i am, in our apartment thing in brighton, with one of the many cans of red bull that i consumed. that stuff runs through my veins (yes, i know it's bad for you).
there will be more photos when i have my film developed - promise!
ps, i've written a guest post for claire over on Jazzpad! go check out my disaster of a first ever guest post, it's all about the english countryside (:
a very british summer
orla kiely is an irish designer based in london, with a fantastical shop in covent garden. i don't own any of it (although i am VERY tempted to go for one of the dresses which is £150... in the sale) but LOOK. the socks and shoes look is essentially what i am renowned for (as well as my tights. clearly my feet/legs get more attention than i do) and i love her signature patterns.
the reason british people drink tea all year round is because there is no need to have cold drinks. it is always mild.
yet i am heading off to the seaside until next weekend; armed with disposable cameras, elle collections and a big carpet bag. And an optimistic bikini :|
if you want to keep up with what i'm doing, just follow me on twitter.
see you in a week (:
(and if that dress is still available in my size upon my return, i may have to make a purchase...)
you're a stone fox
kirsten dunst in virgin suicides, directed by sofia coppola, my own screen caps
a word of advice, this probably isn't the best film to watch at four in the morning.
ps, do any of you know brighton well? i'll be there next week, and it'd be nice if any of you could recommend some nice things to do during the day (don't worry, i'm sorted for the nighttimes, having older friends helps occasionally!). either leave a comment or email me (rebecca (dot) cohen (at) hotmail (dot) co (dot) uk) - thank you! i should be able to get another post in before i leave (:
starbucks is a glorified babysitter
outtake, close up and words
The remains of an unwitting cover up
Blown across the stage.
Last night's curtain,
a rain shower,
Has hidden everything else.
The performers slumber in reality,
Art for art's sake
They care not for the intricacies of regularity
Stirring already
black. grey. navy. white.
Dampened nighttime misdeeds.
I don't really like posting my poetry here, but some people said they'd like to see more (and my friend said he liked it)
Today there was drama at work (involving two resigned policemen), I went to a BBC recording of Jarvis Cocker and Steven Merchant, and I currently have a wagamamas baby.
dress (worn as tee); new look kids. belt; charity shop. cardigan; charity shop. skirt; american apparel. nail polish; nail inc (it had been on for a day, and I can't be bothered to edit photos today)
I did have a "proper" outfit shot (+long socks and boots) but I decided against posting. You're not missing out on much.
serendipity is life
These photos were taken last year.
This is the Starbucks in the Oxford Street Foyles. We indulged in the Chocolate Indulgence cake, and were most upset at its passing.
She's in Paris right now, and has upgraded to macaroons!
(I've been pathetically bad in terms of blogs of late. Barely replying to comments/reading those I follow. Life is distracting me, but after I meet up with a friend tomorrow, I will definitely catch up. Thanks for the feedback as well, more about my exciting life coming up. Sarcastic wit abound.)
EDIT:
I keep forgetting to put these here (because I'm in inept), but thank-you (:
I have to say what I like the most about my own blog....
The notoriety, of course.
This is a story of a girl who turned out wrong, because she only loved things that couldn’t love her back
{lula's tumblr and myfdb}
Hannah Murray by Clare Shilland
Hannah Murray is better known as fictional character Cassie Ainsworth from Skins. Cassie is very quote-able.
This is one of my favourite televisual moments
ps. I don't know what people want to see here.... More outfit posts? More about me? More writing? Yeah... if you have any ideas, just let me know in a comment. (:
albert
Albert is bright pink, and has things that look like pencil shavings down his front. Albert has also never been out of my house...
First attempt at a fishtail plait too.
The Luella sticker was part of my eighteenth birthday present, part of my shrine already.
Shirt; Luella via Outnet. Shorts; Miss Selfridge. Fishtail plait; minutes of entertainment
