so i spent three days in a field on one of the hottest weekends of the year so far, so i would have died if i'd worn a cape like werbowy (above)
there's nothing quite like stumbling through long grass when your torch runs out of battery.

EDIT: Just changed the host for the images, so hopefully you should be able to see them now! Sorry about that
EDITEDIT: re-hosted images. third time lucky??? (blogger, sort it out)

I much prefer to daydream.
Or at least the transitional state between being conscious and unconscious, where you can vaguely control your dreams. It's definitely more fun that way.
And then I'll stop having visions of wolves (which, although beautiful, can get a bit samey after a while) night after night.
I love to watch the sun rise, and it's mucking up my body clock.

This photo was taken when I had a normal sleeping pattern (2008, I'm on the left):

(Apologies for such a horrifically disjointed post, it didn't quite go to any plan I may have subconsciously made)

Today has been rather a languid and apathetic day.
I didn't sleep very well, had to go to the doctor's and watched a documentary on the Summer Exhibition at the Royal Academy (it was a Culture Show special on BBC2, check it out on iPlayer)
But, as it was my brother's birthday recently, we have chocolate cake in the house. So I put on my favourite dress and had a bedroom picnic (:

Tea parties, sunset, and the sea.
But until then, I must stop spending so much time on blogger/tumblr/facebook.

Yesterday was the last time I ever had to wear uniform to school (well, excluding exams...), so all the girls decided to go upon a theme - St Trinian's.
Originally a series of sketches, and then a series of films between 1957-1980, as well as two recent adaptations, St Trinian's' girls are seen as role models of independence and femininity - just what you need when you go to a boy's school!
And to keep up the continuing theme of nature I took these shots in my back garden where there are still some bluebells remaining - they look so pretty :)

bluebell wood

The trees are bare, the sun is cold,

And seldom, seldom seen;

The heavens have lost their zone of gold,

And earth her robe of green.

A quick weekend meet-up, taking advantage of the very short bluebell season.
When I saw Jil's recent post on the bluebell wood I mentioned it to my friends, and one of them said there was a similar one near to him. So, after a seemingly never ending day at work, we took a short car ride, and ended up here.
Bluebells are one of my favourite flowers, up there with daisies and hydrangeas.
What are your favourites?

On me: T; Arctic Monkeys (on American Apparel). Shorts; Fat Face. Tights; Primark. Shoes; Topshop. Necklace, Accessorize.

Who knows why I automatically thought of Pingu when I saw these photos...

Anyway, these photos from an old Interview editorial remind me of what I've been doing in art recently. I don't know whether anyone would be interested in seeing any photos of what I've done? Either way, I love the juxtaposition of the leather and tulle.

Beware of artists - they mix with all classes of society and are therefore most dangerous

I have a three day art exam this week, so instead of falling asleep in history lessons I will try and do some things that are more productive, including:

eating more Crunchy Nut

appreciating the cherry blossom tree that's near to my house while it lasts

wearing my ladybird necklace as much as feasibly possible
(My local Topshop has had a make over! So I went in with no intention of spending any money and came out with this little friend for the hefty sum of £4. Pay day's only a month away after all...)
