Sweetheart.

Every week between Renaissance and Romantic (capital R!) lectures, my friends and I go to Cuthbert's for cupcakes and tea. I'd pretty much forgotten the significance of today until I saw that most tables were occupied by couples with red velvets, so we disturbed the peace by musing upon how reading English at University equates to holding teaching as your only ambition in the eyes of the majority of the populace.

The only romantic (little R!) aspect of my day involves these heart-shaped doughnuts that I won from Krispy Kreme in a competition they ran on their twitter yesterday. Someone come over for a sleepover and help me finish them??

ps, the second photo is one I took of the newest Banksy in Liverpool. If anyone wants to see it, it's in the car park of the Pig and Whistle, just off Chapel Street by the Liver Building.

  1. You won some Krispy Kremes? Amazing :) Love the snap of the Banksy, so many in London have been boarded up or stolen. xx

  2. Haha, this is so recognizable! Whenever I tell people that I study English, their reaction is always either 'so you want to be a teacher' 'so you want to be a translator'! And I love any kind of tea/coffee date, all I did in my first semester in my spare time was study but now I feel like enjoyin' uni life! You and the doughnut look like a pretty sweet match, what are men compared to sugar comas! Anyhow, lovely as always! :) xx

  8. That's alright, I love essay comments! I have seen Shame, but I youtubed the song, yet another reason to love Carey Mulligan. I'm watching Bridget Jones as we speak, and sadly yes, the cab fare from London to Liverpool would be rather high ;)

  15. I spent the day with my best friend being as 'forever alone' as possible, talking about cats and being spinsters :) We got all dressed up, went fr a coffee and saw The Woman in Black, perfect day! A guy I've never met bought the tickets for me and my friend at the cinema which was very sweet, gave him my sherbert dip dab in return :)

  16. Ohh I love Banksy! There's one near my house, of a man and a dog. It's a shame because loads of people in the area don't realise who it's by.
That must be so annoying everyone thinking you only want to teach. I do American Studies and I always get 'So you wanna be...an American?' xx
