no joke

According to iTunes I have listened to 7.8 hours of music today so far. Isn't that nice to know.
Really, at times like this with the repetitive typing... pause... insert...footnote...typing..pause..insert.footnote.typing.pauseinsertfootnotetyping
Just over and over and over.
It's like life really.
The same things over and over again and again.
And that's why I've got into Jürgen Teller's work so much recently. Gaunt, hypotic eyes, staring wide into the camera lense. Stiff, awkward poses, completely unnatural, captured in that same position for the rest of eternity. Doing the same things for what feels like forever.
Humdrum.
Mundane.
Boring.
Whatever you want to call it.
So fuck it, if we've got to do it let's at least attempt to have fun.
With 7.9 hours of music.

ALSO:
If you like Jürgen's work (he does the advertising campaigns for Marc Jacobs, i.e. Marc, Lola, Daisy, etc. and Vivienne Westwood, among others) and you're in London this Summer he's giving a talk at the V&A (near the bottom). It's £6-8, so not too much, and it gives you an excuse to go to visit the other exhibitions. Unfortunately I have an exam the next day so I can't go, but you definitely should. Report back!

It feels like I haven't done a "proper" inspiration post for ages.
Sasha Pivovovovovovovovarova has one of those faces that just catches your eye. Some of the editorials that she's featured in have been ones that I constantly go back to. This is an AnOther one from a few issues back, but the wafts of sheer fabric and bare arms seem appropriate now, when the hope of Summer is so near, but is constantly dashed by the sudden downpour of torrential rain.
I'll do a post on my recent purchases in the near future, I haven't done a proper outfit post for even longer!

confusion in her eyes that says it all

Necklace, Topshop.

My latest purchase shows that the recent (well, it's been this way for a while, let's face it) nautical obsession is continuing. Got a dress from River Island a couple of weeks ago but I'm waiting for warmth and bare legs before that gets an outing. Rather than the make-up applied 14 hours ago/school uniform/no nail varnish combination that's going on above.

Whilst taking this photo I found the last one I'd taken on Photo Booth to be rather... blue:

Brooch; Luella. Cardigan; vintage.

A friend complained that my black and white msn display picture was annoying, and that it needed colour. Unfortunately brown hair and pale skin made the next attempt pretty much black and white, so I whipped off my brooch (my first Luella!!!) and put it prominently in view.. in my mouth. It reminds me of something, but I don't know what?

Apologies if this post seems a bit disjointed, my work ethic is currently zero and I have history coursework and a German oral to prepare for as well as the heaps of homework that is slowly mounting up, as well as a little writing project I've got going underway.... workworkwork, and not the time to do it in!
