When you touch my hand and talk sweet talk I got a knockin' in my knees and a wobble in my walk.

Floral print Lizzy dress (worn as top): c/o Motel Rocks. Denim shorts: Fat Face. Denim Jacket: £63, NW3 by Hobbs. Coral belt: c/o Clothing at Tesco. Heart-shaped sunglasses: £2 h+m kids. Skull bracelet: £11, Made via ebay. Black ballet pumps: 50p, Russell and Bromley via ebay.

I wore this outfit the other day, when pushing my hair behind my ears and getting stuck into InDesign, putting together pages for the University of Liverpool's magazine, Ellipsis - such a glamorous lifestyle! To escape the confines of my room, I went for a little walk across the fields near where I live, with my good friends John, Paul, George and Ringo. Maybe I've spent too long away from reality - I'm wearing double denim! I never thought I'd see the day, but I'm surprisingly a fan of this look - opinions? This top was a gift from Motel Rocks as I'm a member of their Street Team (you get 20% off with the code "itscohen"!), and I adore its not-too-girly floral print. It comes up a little big, so I'd recommend sizing down.

This past week has involved a considerable amount of rest and recuperation (not counting a rather eventful last night out in Essex pre-third and final year, but that's perhaps a story for another time). Last night I had a few friends over for Domino's, chick flicks, and pink wine - nothing beats a sleepover! Apart from fudge cake, and I may possibly have made plans to get some with friends early next week...

it rained on my brother's birthday. we went out for a meal. this is what i wore. (details on lookbook)

oh, and the whole "i'll blog more" thing clearly hasn't worked out. since we last "talked" i've been to sheffield to see arctic monkeys/discover quite how long i can go without sleep, seen les misérables, spent a horrific amount of time in spoons, attended the launch of hooga, went to my first ever foam party, had a nando's lunch and restrained myself when it came to miu miu shoes in the liberty sale. and now amy's coming over for a cup of tea. what an interesting life i lead.

june gloom

Came home the other day to these bad boys in the post.
The lovely Claire at Jazzpad held a giveaway a couple of weeks ago, and I won it.
Seriously, I haven't won anything since I was in year six. It was a collection of felt tips which have completely dried up by now. To win two giveaways in a matter of days?? Insane, I tells ya.
Anyway, it was (past tense, trust me, I can't help but rip packaging) wrapped, so I photographed it with some teapots, only to find out that Claire had popped in a teapot themed card!
Thank-you so much!!

A vintage St Michael bag which my purse actually fits in and a vintage brooch - not to mention the card which is now blu-tacked to my wall

Apologies for the last post. It was three in the morning, it'd been a mixed night out. I shouldn't be allowed to publish at that time.
I quote a friend: "
It serves as a reminder that you should feel?? You little 12 year old emo kid"
So to make up for it I'm going to share something nice with you. I've been listening to the Like so much recently that it can't be healthy.
Happy June (:

ps. feel free to follow me on twitter, my tweets are just protected because I have a complicated life (:

bluebell wood

The trees are bare, the sun is cold,

And seldom, seldom seen;

The heavens have lost their zone of gold,

And earth her robe of green.

A quick weekend meet-up, taking advantage of the very short bluebell season.
When I saw Jil's recent post on the bluebell wood I mentioned it to my friends, and one of them said there was a similar one near to him. So, after a seemingly never ending day at work, we took a short car ride, and ended up here.
Bluebells are one of my favourite flowers, up there with daisies and hydrangeas.
What are your favourites?

On me: T; Arctic Monkeys (on American Apparel). Shorts; Fat Face. Tights; Primark. Shoes; Topshop. Necklace, Accessorize.
