Shakey cameramanship in the gif, unfortunately my own.

I'm fairly confident with the square mile, soho gets a little easier to navigate after a cocktail, and I have Shoreditch and surrounding areas down, but Islington? That's a bit of London I've left unexplored for far too long. A couple of weeks back I had a pretty sweet excuse (more on that later!) to pop along the Northern line to see what Angel had in-store. I met Charlie at the tube station before heading along Chapel Street to check out the market. We stopped off at a cute café for smoothies (I went for passionfruit - would recommend) and a catch up pre-fussy location hunting, on my part. We settled for Claremont Square, a stone's throw from our destination, because who could resist a little pop o' red? It's the door equivalent of Ruby Woo.

For this little London jaunt, I decided comfort was king - and a thankfully still day meant this hat stayed on my head too, hurrah! This whole caboodle is from trusty old Debenhams, and is part of the Nine by Savannah Miller range that I'm sure you've seen gracing the cover of Stylist recently. Although mine might be a bit of a more pared-back, literally-just-threw-this-on combination, I've loved seeing how other people are wearing the edit, and spotted mega-babe Josie in the printed dress and faux fur gilet this week. Warning, the shoes are going to take a hell of a lot of wearing in (send plasters), but the perfect blue hue jeans and soon to be 'most worn' jumper more than make up for it. Just add fluffy socks and a milky tea for the perfect Sunday spent at home outfit.

High dive into frozen waves.

After missing London Fashion Week in favour of staying inside, the next weekend's blue skies and a little invite from New Look coaxed me out vampire-style for London Fashion Weekend. If you haven't heard of LFW's little sis, I'm going to assume you're new around here. In short, it's your chance to see the oncoming season's trends in one handy catwalk show, with a little bit of Sia playing to keep you going after navigating the Circle line's part-closures. After meeting a load of lovely bloggers outside, we went in to sample the high life shows and talks, before popping along to the Delaunay for afternoon tea and an education in gugelhopf.

After a few weeks of existential crisis and whatnot, it was truly inspiring (vom, I know) to spend the day in the company of such hardworking and focused girls. Sometimes all you need to put things in perspective is three tiers of cakes and a few hours of getting-to-know-you.

In bed with Rebecca and Jazmine.

I'm wearing a Ted Baker pyjama set, and Jazmine wears dressing gown, both courtesy of Debenhams.

And now for something completely different. Although I may be (in everything but title) the brand ambassador of my local club, sometimes it's nice to spend the evening with a pizza the size of a small country, face masks and countless cups of tea. Last weekend Jazmine and I did just that, catching up on our antics from the previous weekend in a slightly more wholesome manner.

To help fuel our late night chats, Debenhams asked if we'd like to get involved in a #DebsSleepover - an offer we couldn't resist! Cue a massive box of goodies turning up at my office containing everything we could possibly wish for to make the perfect sleepover (admittedly the sweets might not have made it out of the building...). It's not often that I let myself completely relax, but it was nice to talk babes, boys and biscuits with one of my best friends and ignore most of what was happening outside her bedroom, except for the fifty texts I received around 4am - group chats have their flaws. The next morning, we coerced Barri into taking some photos for us while we tried not to laugh at her terrible jokes (not sorry) between sips of tea.

I hope you like this slight departure from normal outfit posts, but I think it's just the right time to take a moment to relax on a Sunday and not think about the C word with just four sleeps to go - let me know your best sleepover stories, as I'd love to hear them!

And I hope you're holding hands by new year's eve + a little treat for you!

Anthropologie Lillie playsuit: £98. Anthropologie faux fur bag: £58. Zara coat: £30. Christian Louboutin pigalle: £75, charity shop.

To go out or not to go out, that is the question. When Anthropologie asked me which of the two I'd be siding with this New Year's Eve, it took me all of three seconds to decide. As someone who is always in serious fear of FOMO, I tend to plug for the former, and have spent many a weekend (this one included) raising a glass to friends and shaking a tailfeather. I'm yet to make this year's celebrations concrete, but there's no doubt that a small group of us will make our way into the night, sure to see in 2015 with a smile and plenty of so-good-they're-bad dance moves - irresistible, I know! As a dance floor veteran, I'd like to think I've got my night out wardrobe down to a tee, leaving the stress purely down to how much my eyebrows want to cooperate. LBDs go without saying, the flattering colour hides many a sin and spilt vodka coke, but of late I've found myself leaning towards playsuits in the shade, which are the perfect mid-ground of pretty and dignity-saving. This little lace-trim number is plain enough to dress up with bright jewels, or let your faux fur bag do the talkin' (and you do the strokin', no weird here) instead.

Knowing that we had a new years theme, Sabby and I headed along to the place we knew placed a pretty big importance on time: Greenwich. Just a hop, skip and jump away from the meridian line, we looked over London ("you can see my house!") and made our first resolution to explore more areas of it in 2015.

Want to give that NYE outfit a pretty helping hand?

Anthropologie have very kindly offered me a £50 voucher to give away to one of my readers. All you have to do is vote for whether you're going out or staying in as the clocks strike the hour on the Anthropologie blog and leave a comment below with your email address letting me know which of the two you favour - good luck!

Looking for what to spend those pennies on? I've created a little mood board of my favourite things online right now - velvet! Embellishment! Lace! - for you to have look over and ponder what you'd add to your wishlist..
